Doug Hodges, PGA Professional and Founder of ThinkWorkPlay, created SwingPals, Inc., a non-profit organization designed to give underprivileged children in North Carolina the opportunity to fully realize their potential and to lead confident, productive and enriched lives. SwingPals events foster trust, self-esteem, and confidence.
SwingPals introduces adults to the mentoring process by engaging them in golf events with children who are eager to learn the game, thrive with adult interaction and encouragement and seek long-lasting friendships through golf.
SwingPals offers programming to at-risk children through relationships with middle schools. During the 2012-2013 school year, we will work with approximately 120 at-risk children attending Neal Middle School, Durham, North Carolina.The SwingPals Middle School Program:
