Be a Mentor

SwingPals connects adult golf mentors with children in our after-school programs. Our goal is for lasting friendships built on trust to be created. SwingPals builds self-esteem, and nurtures confidence, so both the adult and the child grow to their potential.

SwingPals uses Big Brothers Big Sisters to match mentors with middle school children, and each pair is invited to the golf course for ongoing golf instruction from our PGA professionals. This bond fosters a loving, caring, and encouraging relationship that extends beyond the golf course.

Becoming a mentor will transform your life. Get involved with SwingPals and gain joyful and memorable experiences, build meaningful relationships, and enrich your performance potential. New or inexperienced golfers are preferred and encouraged to apply!

Be a Coach

Volunteer Coaches may assist our staff either in the gymnasium with 6th grade students or on the golf course with our 7th and 8th grade students. We train all of our coaches to use ICARE messages -- Integrity, Care/Concern, Appreciation, Respect, and Effort—which encourages students to build trust with our staff and each other. Some golf experience is preferred for this position.

Be a Safety Monitor

SwingPals Safety Monitors are supervisors for our Sixth Grade programs in the schools. We go to one of our four middle schools each weekday to teach leadership, mindfulness, and the basics of golf. Safety Monitors assist our coaches to monitor the students to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone. No golf experience required!
